We (us, girls, especially) keep on saying that girls have such a difficult life. That it’s so hard to be a girl/woman 🙄. That there’s pressure on so many levels – we need to always look good, be fit, have pretty hair, wear nice clothes, shave legs etc. That we need to be good mothers, but also hard-workers, that we need to take care of the house, cook well, clean… I keep hearing from other women that it’s so hard and that „being a man is so much easier”.
Well, is it? 🤔
Don’t men also have/feel pressure about plenty stuff? Don’t they also need to always look good, wear nice clothes, shave etc? There are plenty men who are way more worried about their looks, about being muscular, about getting into shape than other women. They also feel the pressure to be fit, to look good 🤷♀️.
Besides looks, plenty men feel such an enormous pressure to earn good money 💰 and to provide for the family that they’d be actually ashamed if e.g. wife earned more money than they did. Because according to some stupid (and out-of-date) stereotype it should be a man that earns more 🙄.
Men also want to be good dads 👨🍼, to have the connection with the kids. There’s always a natural bond between a kid and a mother because it is women, who carry the child in our womb for 9 months 🤰 and then it us who stay with the child at home for 1-1,5 year. The kid knows us more and I can’t even imagine how hard it must be for men to break that barrier and also get that amazing bond with the child when they’re not around as much as moms 😬.
What I want to say is controversial, especially coming from me – a woman, but needs to be said – it’s not all about women 😉. Men work hard too, men feel enormous pressure too, men are great parents too 🤷♀️.
We shouldn’t look at the world with one standard. World and society isn’t as simple as we’d want it to be, it’s not all black or all white, it’s always more complex and that’s what makes it interesting and beautiful 🤗.
Come on guys, am I right?

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY – STEP 17: Summing up
It’s time to sum up this year 🤩 First of all, think what happened this year – if something bad happened draw conclussions, let it be a lesson 😎 and forget about it 😉
Now focus on all the good things that happened and take only that with you, only good emotions, good memories 😊
:::
Now in order to finish this year well and to know what you need to work on in the next year I want you to mark several segments of your life in 2021.
Mark from 1 to 10 how happy you are about your:
🔸️ career in 2021
🔸️ self-development in 2021
🔸️ relationships
🔸️ hobbies & passions
🔸️ finances
:::
Now looking at your marks think if you’re happy about your results. What do you need to work most on in 2022? 🤔
:::
Another excercise – draw a circle and mark how much time you spend each day on something – whole circle is 1 full day so if you e.g. work 8h a day mark 1/3rd of the circle as ‘WORK’. How mucy time daily do you spend working on your passions? 🧐 How much time do you spend on learning new things? How much time do you spend on working on your relationships so spending time with your family/friends? How much time do your spend working on your health so having a good nice sleep, working out/going for a walk etc.? 🤔
:::
Now look at the circle you’ve created and think if you’re happy about the results. What do you want to work on in 2022?
:::
Last one – take a piece of paper and write down (yes, write them down, this is a crucial step in planning your goals) what are your goals for 2022 📝
Now put it up above your desk, next to a mirror or somewhere where you can see it everyday! 😃
7 things I’ve learned about Mayans while being in Mexico
➡️ 1. There’s still plenty Mayans among Mexicans and some of them will actually get a bit angry if you call them Mexican, not Mayan 😉.
➡️ 2. Mayans were VERY intelligent people who could meassure days, calendar and solar systems centuries ago just by observing the nature around them 🌹🌒🌓🌕🌖🌗🌙 and their calculations compared to nowadays’ calendars were mistaken by only 6 seconds! 🤯
➡️ 3. Mayan calendar is very complicated, it is actually a combination of 3 different calendars, and each day had a special name in calendar and everyone got a name after the day they were born.
2012 actually wasn’t the end of Mayan calendar. Their whole calendar cycle lasts over 5000 years and 2012 was the end of 1st cycle 😉
➡️ 4. The ancient Mayans believed that the world was created on 11th August, 3114 BCE. The Mayan calendars start counting from that date.
➡️ 5. Do you know how to write number 10 in ancient Roman numbers? It’s ‘X’, right? 😃 5 is ‘V’ and so on. But how do you write ‘0’ in Roman numbers? 🤔 There is no sign for that because the concept of number ‘0’ was invented later by Mayans! 😃
➡️ 6. There are plenty words in modern language that were invented by Mayans. One of them is ‘chocolate’ 🍫– ‘chocolhaa’ in Mayan that means ‘bitter water’
➡️ 7. Mayans kind of invented soccer but the rules were quite different 😅 – you could hit the ball only with your hips, forearms or calves and you had to aim the ball to a stone hoop that was couple metres above the ground 😃

SELF-LOVE: Fooooood
SELF-LOVE 🙏❤
I think food is a big part of self-love 😋😅 not only eating delicious stuff makes your mood bettet but I find whole process of preparing a dish relaxing. You go into kitchen, turn your mind off and start creating something delicious out of seperate things 😍 It always find this whole process amazing how we take some seperate ingredients and when we mix them together we receive something amazing 🤤 Don’t you agree?
So today as a part of self-love not only eat something you love but create it yourself. Go into kitchen and get creative. Maybe you’ll think of some new dish? Or try some new recipe?
Communication
Do you know what’s key to good relationship?
Communication 😉
:::
And it’s not only about love relationships, it’s important to make any kind of relationship work – a friendship, a relation you have with your daughter, mom, neighbour, coworker. Anybody.
:::
We are ALL different. And nobody sits in your head, nobody reads your mind, believe me 😉. So when you don’t like something, when you need help with something you need to COMMUNICATE.
:::
Plenty woman (I used to be one of them) think that if they send „signals” to their partner he’ll know what she needs/means 😅 That if she says something between the lines about a movie she’d like to watch or talk about her friend’s new cosmetics he’ll instantly get the idea to take you to cinema to see that movie and he’ll buy those cosmetics for you 😅 No, this doesn’t work with men.
:::
Men and women work totally differently and so do our minds! You need to be loud and clear 😉
COMMUNICATE.
:::
It works like that with everybody. If you’re angry with your boss because he/she gives you so much work tell him/her politely (!) that you’re swamped and ask if he/she can maybe get one of your co-workers to help you, to divide some big task between 2-3 people, not just 1 🤷🏼♀️
TALK.
:::
If you’re frustrated with your friend because he keeps inviting you to places you don’t like or wants to do something you’re not fan of – tell him. He simply might not know that you don’t like it! I’m sure he doesn’t do it to make you angry, he’s just anaware of your negative feelings. Why? Because you’ve never told him that you e.g. don’t like bowling or eating at that Thai restaurant. 😉
LET HIM KNOW.
:::
We all need to talk more. Say what we think out loud. Don’t keep your thought or feelings to yourself. But remember, if it’s something negative think how to communicate it to your friend to not hurt his feelings 🙏. We should always be sincere and if you don’t like something you should say it but do it gently.

SELF-LOVE: Stay home
SELF-LOVE
Turn tv off, turn social media off (apart from @smileysociety of course 😉😂), stop listening to news and just relax.
What’s happening out there, is happening out there 🤷🏼♀️ and as it doesn’t concern you as long as you are at home 🏡.
Look at it as extra time at home to read a book you’ve always wanted to read, to watch a movie or tv shows everybody is telling you about 🎬, to take up some new hobby like decoupage or playing guitar 🎸, do yoga 🧘🏼♀️, do home fitness 💪 or do coloring like me 😁
I find it sooo relaxing 😍
What do you do these days?
