Take that step into future! 😉
Do you remember our previous steps about sabotaging thoughts? 🤔 Have you managed to work on them and create your helpful recreation or helpful reaction? 🧐 If yes – wonderful! 🤗 Now start using them in practice.
Here are some examples of sabotaging thoughts and answers to them taken from „The Beck Diet Solution: Train Your Brain to Think Like a Thin Person” book by Judith Beck 📖
➡️Situation: Reaching your goal will affect your family’s life 😐
🧠Sabotaging thought: I can’t put my needs first above the others 🤷🏼♀️
❤Helpful reaction: I can try reaching for goal that is imporant to me.Time to start thinking about my own needs 👊🏻. My family should eat healthy too, limit fattening products, it will be good for them as well. 😊
➡️Situation: You don’t let yourself have any satisfaction until you lose as much weight as possible 😬
🧠Sabotaging thought: As long as I won’t reach my target weight I won’t feel any satisfaction. I don’t deserve any prizes until I lose as much weight as possible 🙄
❤Helpful reaction: I need to learn to be happy about small successes 🤩. Celebrarting every 2 kgs lost will make me feel better and will strenghten my belief in myself! 😎
➡️ Situation: Temptation 😟
🧠Sabotaging thought: I deserve to eat anything that I want 🤷🏼♀️
❤Helpful reaction: If I want to benefit and stay thin I can’t eat anything I want. It is more important to lose weight and feel good than to spontanously decide what to eat 🤗
Remember, those are only examples (although I really am often in situation nr 3 😅😳) that should help you understand the idea of creating helpful reaction/supporting thought for sabotaging thought 🙂.
Create your helpful reactions that fit your individual situation and personality. You are the expert of yourself! 😚
Next week: Appreciate your hard work!

New Year is the best time to start working on yourself and becoming the best version of you! 👊🏻

Happy New Year folks!!! ❤❤❤
I needed a couple days of break but I am back! 👊🏻
Here’s a little 2020 sum up and my idea for January at @smileysociety
I hope you had great New Years’s Eve and that even though 2020 has been tough for all of us you can remember couple good things about it and focus on that 🙏
For me positive things about 2020 are:
🌞 I got to work from home that I dreamed of for such a long time 😅
🌞 I bought a camera and got back to taking more pictures, I learned how to edit them better or how to do some ‘tricks’ in Photoshop
🌞 I started working on my 2nd novel
🌞 I grew @smileysociety and got plenty new faces here 😊
Now it’s time for new plans, new dreams and as January usually is a month of new beginnings, new projects and some changes I want to bring you as much motivation as possible!
So starting on Monday there will be:
➡️1-2 inspirational stories per week to show you some stories of people who have succeeded
➡️ motivational excercises in our Smiley Future series on Tuesdays
➡️ healthy recipes on Insta stories for those who start a diet and want to lose weight
➡️ and more!
As for 2021 I have BIG plans for this year. I want to write 2nd novel, do a special ebook (more on that in couple months), go back to University and study psychology and possibly change job. Plus I’m turning 30 this year 😅 so there will be plenty celebrations and a big trip in October 😁
And how about you? What positive happened to you in 2020? And what are your plans for 2021?
There couldn’t be a better day for self-love day than Christmas Eve! 😁 Now you have no excuses but to slow down, to focus on here & now, to be PRESENT 😉🎁
Which time are you most present in normally? 🤔 Deep into the past, fully soaked into memories, remembering good old days 💭; in the present focusing on present moment and present emotions or in the future 🔜, constantly planning what to do next 📅, creating ‘to do’ lists for upcoming day/week/month? 🤷🏼♀️
If you’re in the past or in the future, do everything you can to change that and to go… BACK TO THE PRESENT! 🔙 You won’t enjoy Christmas or, for that matter, your whole life, if you’re not present here & now! 😉 You won’t be happy and calm if you’re constantly somewhere in the past in your mind or constantly running towards future! 🤷🏼♀️
Notice what’s happening around you NOW ⬇️, what’s the taste of the meal you’re eating, what does it smell like in the room, what do you feel…be here & now! 🤗
I gotta say that lately I’ve been constantly in the future – planning upcoming posts, upcoming days, weeks…I’ve been deep in December in my mind since the end of October as I’ve been planning and preparing everything for Smiley Advent Calendar 😅 Constantly couple days ahead of myself. STOP! 🛑 This is not how it should look like and I can’t wait for Christmas to stop it all and to just be present 😍. To rest and not plan anything. To concentrate on Xmas meals and their taste, to smell the Xmas tree, to be here & now 🤩
Merry Christmas all! 😘 Enjoy this day and as they say „stop and smell the roses”. 🤗
P.s. I made my 1st ever ebook! Here’s a little preview – get the full version here – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pn_hj9Nuuotts7DVFZfV8j8zGZFgTJYy/view?usp=drivesdk
You know the saying – treat others how you want to be treated, right? It also works the other way round 😉 – expect from others what they can expect from you.
Don’t expect somebody to be honest with you if you’re not honest with them ⚠️
Don’t expect somebody to hear you out if you don’t listen to them. ⚠️
Don’t expect somebody to help you if you never help them. ⚠️
Don’t be surprised that somebody isn’t telling you some secrets or personal things if you don’t share some personal stuff with them or if you can’t keep a secret 🤷🏼♀️. Would you tell them a secret of yours if you’d know that they’d tell it everyone around? 🤔
Then when somebody is telling you something personal or confessing of their problems don’t reply with „Ahh, that’s nothing. My situation is even worse…” 🙄 or ‘fight’ over who is in worse situation „You’re tired? Believe me, I’m more tired!” 😏 Nobody likes that! Let him/her talk, hear them out 👂and then when they’re finished and are ready for some advices you can compare their situation to yours, tell them what helped you, how you’re dealing with such situation etc but don’t make it about you. 😉 Let this moment be about him/her, focus on your friend and let them feel heared out. Your time to confess and complain about your sitation will come, don’t worry 😉
And finally, don’t expect somebody to help you if you’ve never helped them! Why would they do that? 🤔 It should work both ways! E.g. at work – ask somebody to do something for you but also offer to do something for them from time to time 😉
Let’s all treat each other how you’d like to be treated, be fair with others and never let a relationship work only one way 🙏
P.s. Check out my Instagram for an idea for a last minute Xmas gift
There is this saying, one of my favourites, „Not everyday is good but there is something good in everyday” and I so agree! 😊
Even though this year has been tough to all of us I am more than sure that we could find something good in all of those days! Like the color of the sky, smell of flowers or somebody being nice to you! 😊
Last 3 months have been very very tough for me, healthwise 🤕, workwise 🙄, many family issues 😟, some friends let me down 😏…believe me, it has not been easy 🤷🏼♀️ and in the end when I was thinking that the only positive issue this year (besides my covid test 2 months ago 😜) is my financial situation, I got half of my usual salary today 🤦🏼♀️ and even though it’s all good now and it turned out to be a mistake by somebody in HR I won’t get the missing half until January 🤷🏼♀️… so 2020 misery goes on 🙄
BUT! Even though it’s been so tough I managed to see some good in everyday, to get excited about something every week, to be happy despite all the problems and that’s how positive mind works! 😉
I’ve been admiring beautiful sunrises and sunsets 🌄 (I am pretty sure that the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in Poland are in December), I’ve been veeeery creative and doing plenty DIY stuff that you’ve seen/see in Smiley Advent Calendar 😁, I’ve been doing silly sketches and dances with my husband to make our moods better 🤪, I’ve been admiring beautiful fruity smell of my favourite shower gel each day 😍, I’ve been more and more excited about upcoming Xmas creating beautiful Xmas decorations 🎄, I’ve been grateful for every help that I got either from a stranger on a street or from a colleague at work 😉… there is so much good around us we just need to notice it! 🤗
Now tell me something good that happened to you today!
