Do you ever punish yourself? For eating something that you shouldn’t have, skipping training, making mistake…? 🤔

I know that this topic isn’t pleasant but if it does happen I highly encourage you to work on it 💪.

Have a look how you find reaching your goal. Do you find it as a war – with yourself, external obstacles? 🤔 If yes then there’s risk that you’ll end up in an eternal fight with yourself and you’ll see every mistake as losing 😫. What comes next you might be even punishing yourself with bad words like „I am horrible”, strict refusing any small awards/pleasures or doing something as a punishment 😖

So as strongwill wouldn’t break down and your desire/fighting for your goal would become a part of your everyday life, part of your lifestyle you need: patience, indulgence and will to act which doesn’t come with permament tension and fear of losing.

Task for today: instead of treating realising your goal as a fight or „good” and „bad” actions try to look at it as a process of learning 🤓.

You know those cute videos on YouTube of little kids learning how to walk? 😍 They fall down, get up and keep trying again and again – often with a smile on their faces! 🤗 Mistakes and slips are inseparable part of learning anything. And making new habits is nothing but learning.

Try reformulating critical thoughts to a thought beneficial to learning. E.g. instead of telling yourself „I am lazy because I didn’t work out” it could be „I found out about myself that if I don’t work out in the morning I am too tired after work. I’ll rearrange my plan of a day.”

What is success to you? 🤔 What does being successful really mean? 🤔 Is it having lots of money? 💰 Being smart? 🧠 Looking good? 😎

I’m gonna break something to you and you might feel bad but you need to be aware of that 😉: there’s always gonna be someone more beautiful 😎,  someone smarter 🧠 and, unless you’re Jeff Bezos, someone richer 💰. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be successful!

Being successful isn’t being THE BEST. It’s being better than average. Being successul is being better than you were a month ago 💪. That’s a success!

The best and the only scale you should be comparing your current self isn’t to other people because this might have the opposite effect, it’s comparing your current self to your past self! 😉

As long as there’s progress there and a positive difference you’re successful! 😊

This is healthy competition and both easiest and hardest to have! But if you’re progressing, if you’re going forward this is success!

Remember last situation when you’ve made a mistake, a situation when you thought bad about yourself. Got it? What did you think of yourself then? What were you saying to yourself? 🤔

Now imagine that you best friend, a relative, somebody close to you comes to you and tells you that she/he has had an identical situation and she/he is waiting for your reaction. What would you tell her/him? 😉

Quarantine sum up

So tell me – how you’ve been lately? 🤗
I gotta say that those last 3 months has been really productive to me and I am satisfied with what I’ve managed to do. Apart from doing 200-300% norm at work I managed to work a lot on my personal projects/dreams too 😊.

Obviously I’ve spent looooads of time doing stuff for @smileysociety and for you here 😉 – I’ve been posting regularly, working on special stories for you, created Positive Morning Posts 🙂 with good news and Chill Evening Sessions 🌠 to make you feel better during those times, I’ve made #SmileyTravelling Challenge for you on my ig so we wouldn’t miss travelling that much and plenty more.

Even though working on my blog  here took me 60-70% of my free time I used the rest of it to get into shape 💪and to read 📖! I’ve never been working out so regularly as I have now – been working out 3-4 times a week lately and I loved it 💙! I also challanged myself to read 1 book a month and so I’ve read 3 books since April – it is a lot for me as I usually don’t read that much anymore 😅.

Apart from it all I started serious work on my 2nd novel, planning & plotting, creating characters and ideas for the plot and I am planning to start writing it in October ✒

Even though it’s been horrible at times, I’ve been scared, I missed my family, I missed my friends, I pushed myself to the limits as if the world was ending 😅! I just didn’t want this time to go to waste and I am so glad I did!
:::
And even though I am tired and I am dreaming of holidays at last 😅 I am satisfied with my work in 1st half of 2020 and I still believe this will be my year 😉
:::
So what I’ve been trying to say is that no matter how bad the situation is (and I don’t mean only Covid-19 and quarantine times but anything else too) always try to do your best 💪. We all react to bad situations  differently obviously and if  somebody was really scared during last months, felt anxious and didn’t do anything productive that’s fine too! But when you look back now to those insecure times forget about all the bad stuff and focus on what you have done and what you’ve managed to accomplish 🤗

SELF-LOVE: Sugar Lip Scrub

SELF-LOVE 🙏❤
“Kiss Me” Sugar Lip Scrub 👄

This recipe is a classic! A little honey combined with sugar and almond oil is all you need to moisturize and slough off dead skin. All you need is:

2 teaspoons sugar 🍚
1 teaspoon honey 🍯
1 teaspoon almond oil / coconut oil 🥥/ olive oil
Mix everything together in a small bowl until you have a paste. Apply to lips with fingertips and massage into your lips to gently slough off dry, dead skin cells 😍. You’ll be tempted to eat the mixture – it tastes pretty darn good 😅! Rinse with warm water and follow with lip balm. Keep any extra in a small container 😊

Positive apps!

I showed 5 positive apps in June (7 over all) on my Instagram Stories and I’d like to sum it all up 🤗.
Here’s quick description if you haven’t seen my stories with tutorial on each app (you can still see it in Positive Apps! Highlights on my profile).

🔸️Gratitude (@gratefulness.me) is a great app for building gratitude and affirmations. It works like a journal where you add what you’re grateful for daily. After a week or a month you have a whole list of things you can be grateful for – great to have on a bad day! 🤗

🔸️My Affirmations is a beautifuly done app for affirmations only BUT you get to say them out loud 🎙. In the app you’ll find various affirmations divided into categories. After you pick your affirmations you get to record yourself and in the end you can play a nice presentation with amazing pictures, calm music and your own voice saying amazing things about you! 🤗Pretty incredible presentation to have when you’re feeling down!

🔸️CBT Thought Diary is an app that works basically like a diary where you can keep on track with your thoughts, emotions and moods.

🔸️ThinkUp (@thinkupapp) is very similar to My Affirmations but with wider choice of affirmations to choose from.

🔸️21 Days Challenge (@21daysapp) is an app for building new healthy habits! You’ll find 11 challenges there for new habits in sections like: Mental wellness, Sleep schedule, Self care, Gratitude, Productivity, Happiness or No Junk Food. Each challenge has 21 steps with 21 different tasks for each day! 😁

🔸️Focusly (@focuslyapp) is a great app for meditation, fighting stress and calming yourself e.g. before sleep. There’s many meditation sessions divided into couple different types and plenty interesting articles.

🔸️Fabulous (@thefabstory) is another app good for building new habits but also about learning about time management and meditation, a bit of everything actually!

It’s impossible to choose just 1 best because they focus on different things so I’d pick 3 – My Affirmations for building gratitude, Focusly for meditation and keeping yourself calm and 21 Days Challenge for learning new habits.
I love those 3 apps and I am SO HAPPY I found those! You need to check them out! ❤🤗

Today I want you to think about your attitude towards making mistakes 🤔. Don’t deny it, we all make them 😉.

The question is – what do you do next with them 🤷🏼‍♀️? Do you think of yourself too negatively, too strictly, blame yourself 😞? Or maybe you can look at your mistakes as inseparable element of being human, learning, risking and trying new things 🤗?

Do you know how to treat your mistakes as valuable lesson, how to withdraw conclussion and move on? 😉

You’re probably wondering what does an attitude towards making mistakes has to do with strongwill 🧠? If you’re too strict to yourself because of mistakes or failures you’ll easily get into „everything or nothing” thinking (I told you about it in step 15). And this leads to giving up and letting the rest of the plan go 😞

Task for today is  to think about that and answer questions below:

Love is love. It always was and always will be 👊🏻

Why do you care who the other person likes? Who does she or he love? Why does it matter if a guy is into women or men? 🤷🏼‍♀️

It is SO intimate and so individual who we love ❤💜💙💚💛🧡
I never undestood people talking bad about gays or lesbians. What is so different  about the person that he/she is homosexual? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Does that make him a worse friend? 🤔 Does that make her a worse employee? Does that make him a worse enterprenuer? Why something so intimate as who do we love has to have any impact on the rest of the world? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Being heterosexual isn’t anything better and being homosexual isn’t anything worse ⚠️. People who are gay are born this way, this is a part of their character, of their personality 💬.

Would you shout at a  guy because he’s into redheads while most guys are into blonds 👱‍♀️? Would you point your finger at a guy who likes chubby girls while most men like skinny women 🤨? Would you laugh at a girl who is into shorter guys while most of us like taller men 🙄? That’s just their type. That’s who they pick. That’s who they’re attracted to 🤩. And I cannot say for sure but I guess the same thing is when a guy likes another guy. That’s just his type 🤗.

People really need to stop judging everybody who isn’t like them. Just because some people don’t share your interests doesn’t mean they’re worse 🙄. We all have different opinions, different taste, we like different types of music 🎶 or movies 🎬, we believe in different gods 🙏, we differ politically and we love different people ❤.

We SHOULD BE all different. This is what makes us interesting as a society 😊

It shouldn’t matter who we love. The important thing is to be good and kind 🙏

I strongly encourage you to constant observing 👀 what strengthens and what weakens your strongwill, training it and doing visualisations.

In next steps you’re gonna look into a very important issue that I often see around me: excessive rigor and self-criticism 👇

Do you know what I’m talking about? Does it apply to you? Do you focus on your mistakes, setbacks, defects and failures? Do you miss out on your advantages, achievements and successes? 🤔 When you do a  sum up at the end of a week/month/year what do focus on more? Failures 👎or successes👍?

We all tend to notice negative and threatening affects of our lifes more. Our brain 🧠 works this way to catch potential danger as soon as possible and to prevent it.

What’s more, if you’ve experienced rigor and excessive criticism at home or at school you might have a tendency of treating yourself same way 😟
:::
That’s why noticing positives is harder and requires more conscious effort.
