Have I ever told you the story of how I wanted to work in music industry – to be a tour manager to be exact – and so I dropped everything, I left my family, left my friends and moved to London by myself in 2013? 😀 It was supposed to be for life but it didn’t work out and I moved back to Poland over a year later.

I worked my a** off there. Had 1 full-time job and 3 (!) internships – in a record label, with a band and in an event agency. I learned A LOT and have plenty amazing memories from that time 😍.
It didn’t work out but I TRIED.
It’s not always gonna work out how you wish it would but you find out if it has or hasn’t unless you try!

And sometimes it will work out just like I promised myself I won’t stop until I publish a book I wrote (also in 2013 😅). It took 6 years but I did it!

Follow your dreams no matter what!
Plan the steps you need to take to get what you want, be creative with it and work out plan A, B and even C with different paths to reach it and then work hard on it! 😀

September is a great month to start working on our dreams (according to research it is 2nd best month, after January, when people are most motivated) sooo…starting on September 6th we’ll start new series – Motivational Mondays with Smiley Society! 😉

SELF LOVE: Homemade Rosemary Honey Conditioner

Ingredients:
🔸️16 oz of honey 🍯
🔸️5-15 drops of rosemary essential oil

Directions:
➡️ Place the Rosemary essential oil into the honey bottle and shake it up so that it’s mixed well
You now have Rosemary Honey Conditioner! 😀

To Use:
Squeeze out about 1 tbs of honey into your hands and spread on hair 🧖‍♀️. It is sticky so you may need to get your hair a bit more wet so that the honey can spread around.
Alternatively, you can squeeze 1 tbs of honey into 1/2 cup of water. Mix well and then pour this on your hair.

Continuing my last post…
Apart from gardening pastry cooking is also my new hobby. I love it how from couple seperate ingredients you can create something amazing, something delicious 😋

While being focused & creative in the kitchen I forget about problems, about others things to do…I am present just here & now.

I’ve done macaroons couple times now and I’m getting better and better at it and my next challenge will be red velvet cake pops – have you ever made it? Or macaroons? 😊😋

I love creating stuff whether it is some DIY home decor or some jewelry or in the kitchen..
I feel that being creative truly calms my mind and makes me happy 😊
And there will be some special project about me being creative soon so stay tuned! 😀

Confession

You know that feeling when you’re working hard on something and it doesn’t work out? When you put loads of effort into something and don’t see results? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I put LOADS of time, work, effort and money even into @smileysociety. Last autumn I decided to work harder on this page, to take better pictures, to bring more interesting content in stories so I started creating quizes, DIY tutorials, regular healthy recipes etc to bring more interesting stuff. For you.

Having a full-time job (and working even 10-13h a day sometimes) I spent my whole free time I had in autumn, winter and spring creating content for @smileysociety and…it got me nowhere 🤷🏼‍♀️😅
I gained very few followers, wasn’t shared on any sharing page etc 💔

This is why I haven’t been so active here for last 2 months. I felt burntout and didn’t feel like working on this page anymore.
And so I found new hobby – gardening 🌱👩‍🌾.
:::
With gardedning it is 100% sure you’ll see results of your hard work and this makes me happy 🤗.
If you follow couple simple rules (plant your plants in good soil, water it, fertilize it etc) you’ll soon see your plants growing, your flowers blooming and maybe even some fruit 🍓🍊.
:::
Gardening makes me not only happy because I see results but also makes me calm, takes my problems away and lets me focus on here & now.
I need to water my new beautiful grass everyday for 15min and those 15min are probably most relaxing during whole day 🙏.

SELF LOVE: DIY Tension Relief Bath Bombs 🛀

Make your own DIY bath bombs to wash away body and head tension in this easy step by step DIY beauty tutorial 😊.
The scent combination of lavender oil and peppermint oil is both relaxing and invigorating 😍.Together, they’re the perfect combo for tired muscles and minds.

Supplies (for 3 bath bombs)
🔸️1 cup baking soda
🔸️½ cup citric acid
🔸️½ cup Epsom Salts
🔸️¾ cup cornstarch
🔸️2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
🔸️3 teaspoons witch hazel
🔸️1 teaspoon green mica powder
🔸️10 drops lavender essential oil
🔸️10 drops peppermint essential oil

Tools:
🔸️Bath bomb molds
🔸️Large mixing bowl
🔸️Small glass spray bottle with water
:::
Instructions:
➡️ 1. Put all of your dry ingredients into your mixing bowl and mix until well combined, being careful to make sure no clumps remain.
➡️ 2.Pour the almond oil, essential oils and witch hazel into a small glass mixing bowl, then whisk until combined. Gently, pour the liquid mixture into the larger bowl with the dry ingredients.
➡️ 3.The mixture will start fizzing as soon as the liquid touches the dry ingredients.
➡️ 4.Mix with a fork (or your hands) until everything looks like it’s well combined and somewhat moist 😀.
➡️ 5.Prepare your bath bomb molds and use a spoon to fill the molds halfway. Using a silicone spatula, press the mixture into the molds firmly.
➡️ 6.Spray each mold with a small bit of water (one spray) and press down again to make sure they’re firm. Using too much water will cause the bombs to lose their fizz (and start growing out of control). If you don’t press down firmly enough, the bath bombs will not hold together.
➡️ 7.Divide the remaining mixture into the molds and again press down firmly. Spray the top with water and press down again.
➡️ 8.Close the molds, and allow them to sit on the counter for 24h to set before removing from molds.

Notes
Due to the mica powder and almond oil, these bombs will leave your bath a bit slippery. So take caution when you’re getting out!

SELF LOVE: Strawberry face-masks

DIY Recipe #1 Homemade Strawberry Mask
🔸️8 – 9 Fresh strawberries 🍓
🔸️3 Tablespoons of honey 🍯
In a bowl, mash the strawberries with a fork until smooth.  Add in the honey and mix the ingredients together. Using clean hands or a sanitized brush, gently apply the mixture all over your face, avoiding the eye area 😊. Lie down and leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash it away with warm water, pat your face dry and follow up with your favorite toner and moisturizer.

🔸️8 – 9 Fresh strawberries 🍓
🔸️2 Tablespoon of honey
🔸️1 Tablespoon of oil – Extra virgin olive, jojoba, grapeseed or sweet almond oil
🔸️Few drops of fresh lemon juice – About 8 drops if you have dry skin and up to 1 tablespoon for oily skin
In a bowl, mash the strawberries with a fork until smooth. Stir in the honey, oil, and lemon juice until all the ingredients are well-incorporated. Using clean hands or a sanitized brush, gently apply the mixture all over your face, avoiding the eye area 😊. Lie down and leave the mask on for 5 minutes. Wash it away with warm water, pat your face dry and follow up with your favorite toner and moisturizer.

DIY Recipe #3

🔸️1/2 Tablespoon of non-flavored yogurt or heavy cream
🔸️2 Teaspoon of honey 🍯
In a bowl, mash the strawberries with a fork until smooth. Add the honey and yogurt (for oily complexions) or cream (for dry skin) and mix until the ingredients are well-incorporated. Using clean hands or a sanitized brush, gently apply the mixture all over your face, avoiding the eye area 😊. Lie down and leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash it away with warm water, pat your face dry and follow up with your favorite toner and moisturizer.

It’s ok if you’re 30+ and still don’t know what you want to do in life. We all need time to figure out what is our true passion, what we really care about and what we’re good at. Take your time, try different things 😉

It’s ok if you’re 30+ and you’re still single and don’t have kids. Don’t rush into any relationship just to make the pressure that society puts on us go away. Keep looking for that prince/princess, keep evolving, keep blooming, your time will come 🌸.

It’s ok if you’re 30+ and you’re deep into marriage with several kids and no career. We all want different things and there’s no need to fill bad about not fitting into some ‘society standards’. Just be you, follow your instincts and do what you want with your life 🤷🏼‍♀️.

It’s ok if you’re 30+ and don’t have any academic degree, you’re not a doctor or a master in any field. Education is important but experience is more powerful and there’s no university that can teach you how to deal with problems 😉
