What I’ve learned this year
Look deep into my eyes. What do you see? Confidence! 😎
◾
I’ve learned a lot this year and I feel that I’ve grown as a person.
This year I finally accepted myself as I am 👍 I stopped feeling sorry for being the way I am and I’ve been encouraging people to understand that we are all different and you can’t meassure or judge everything with same standards/meassurements 🤷🏼♀️
◾
For example, I am an analytical kind of person 🧐. I analyze lots of things, I plan lots of things, I need to have an order in everything and have everything organized 🤪. I feel calm when I have everything written down and everything planned 😇.
◾
But e.g. my husband is not like that 🤷🏼♀️. So whenever he wanted to do something spontaneous together or plan some evening for me I felt nervous (Don’t get me wrong, I do get spontaneous from time to time but not when I have a busy week – e.g. preparing everything for an Advent Calendar 😜)
It took some time but he now understands that this is how I want things 🤗
◾
But it works both ways! I used to be mad at him for not planning ahead or for not being orgnized. But that’s just how he is 🤷🏼♀️. He doesn’t need unnatural order in everything as I do. I used to be mad that he doesn’t remember me telling him something but his memory just isn’t as good as mine or, actually, it is as good but he just remembers different things 🤷🏼♀️ – I have good memory for facts, plans, for details and he remembers every movie and a last name of pretty much every person he’s ever met! 😅 We’re just different!
◾
We are all different and we all want different things. Don’t judge somebody for not wanting something you want or for having something you find unappealing 🤷🏼♀️
◾
Don’t feel sorry for a woman that has been single her whole life, maybe she wants to be alone? 😉 Talk, listen. Stop looking weird at a married couple that doesn’t have kids – maybe they don’t want traditional Graduate-Get Married-Have Kids lifestyle. Talk, listen. 😉
◾
Stop looking at people through your own opinions and your own character. Maybe something that drives you crazy is good for another person? 🤷🏼♀️
Adventages of covid/lockdown situation
This year has been tough to all of us, for sure. We’ve been scared 😖, we’ve been anxious 🤯, we’ve been sad 😞, heartbroken of cancelled plans 💔 etc etc.
:::
But maybe there are some advantages of this situation too? 🤷🏼♀️
I’ve talked about it some time ago that Covid-19/lockdown taught us to appreciate what we got 🙏, taught us to appreciate our health and family ❤, it made us slow down and live day by day.
:::
But now, couple months later, I see some other adventages too 😀 We all were forced (in a way) to get to know our countries more, to travel within our borders 😁. You know the saying „the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence” 🌱– but what if it isn’t? What if you haven’t looked at your grass properly? ☺
:::
I’ve heard/seen so many stories even here, on instagram, of Polish people who always travel abroad for holidays and because of Covid-19 they were forced to stay in Poland for the summer so they visited some cities they’ve never been to and were totally charmed!😍
:::
I’ve read about an American girl who always goes to Greece for the summer and this year she couldn’t so she ended up doing a trip around the US visiting some of the states she’s never been to before and she fell in love with her own country! 🤩
:::
Another positive example is how this whole lockdown showed us that so many things can be done online 📩, that people don’t need to meet face to face all the time and e.g. go for a conference to another continent every couple months 🤷🏼♀️.
:::
Even at my work they kept telling us that we can’t work from home, that it is not possible to make it happen system-wise as we wouldn’t be able to use our systems from home and wouldn’t have access to common disks/folders 📂. Covid-19 happened and suddenly it was all possible and I’ve been working from home for 5 months now 😅
:::
I’m not saying that 2020 is a good year and that it is all great, of course it’s not. But let’s try and see some positives! 😊
2020 isn’t cancelled
2020 isn’t cancelled. 🚫 It is here to make us learn and create new reality ⚠️
:::
You know how after meeting some obstacle and overcoming it you come out of the situation stronger and wiser? 💪 How sometimes you need to lose something to appreciate what you’ve had in the first place? 🤔 How in difficult situations you learn who your real friends are? 🤝 That is 2020 to all of us.
:::
This year isn’t cancelled, no no, it might be the most important year yet. Because it will teach us A LOT 😎
It isn’t even half a year yet and we’ve already learned (got to appreciate it even more) what it means to be healthy 🙏 and to have a roof over our heads 🏡. We’ve got to appreciate our families even more ❤. People who have jobs got to see how lucky they are 💰. And, what’s most important, we got to unite as a society of one planet 🤝🌍. Not just about coronavirus and helping each other but also now, during #blacklivesmatter movement 👊🏾
:::
2020 is time to learn and evolve. It is time to set some new rules about hygiene, travelling and equlity 💪
:::
2020 is a beginning of a new, better world. If we do it right this might be beginning of greatest decade yet 🤗
These times will teach us a lot!
Not being able to plan anything now drives me crazy 😫 but those crazy times really can teach us A LOT! 😉
:::
Planning is my strenght 💪 Whenever I have a new dream to fulfill or new project I want to start working on I divide it into parts and plan it out throughout a week/month/year. Thanks to planning I know what step I need to make to be closer to reaching my goal. When I have everything planned I feel calm because I have it all under control, all „in order”. Now it’s all gone.
:::
We were supposed to go to Spain in April, obviously that didn’t happen but I’d still like to go ASAP. The question is when? 🤷🏼♀️ When will it be ok to travel? Who knows? Time will tell 🕰.
:::
But it’s not only about the travelling 🌍. Due to economic crisis that we’ll be dealing with right now we don’t know what we stand on financially 📉. Can I still go to Spain? Or should I keep all my savings as bad times might come – lower salary, maybe even losing a job? 🤷🏼♀️
:::
I wanted to focus on self-development this year. I wanted to do a photography course in the summer 📸 and go back to University in autumn to start doing another degree 👩🎓. It all costs though. Should I still do it?
:::
But let’s not panic ⚠️. These times are even more challenging than we all thought they’d be but they will teach us SO MUCH! 🤗
:::
I am sure we are all learning to appreciate what we have now. I might have tough times at work but I am still lucky to still be employed as so many people lost their jobs already 😞
:::
What’s more, we are learning to be more here & now, to focus on present and live one day at a time 🙏 as it is so hard to plan anything 😅. I am learning to stop planning far ahead and focus on present week and on what’s happening now.
:::
These times teach us to be always prepared for surprises, that you are never able to plan EVERYTHING out. They teach us to be patient 😇
:::
I am more than sure that we will come out of the lockdown wiser, stronger and more patient 💪. We just need to hold a bit longer. It will be all better soon! 😊
Self-isolation time
How are you doing these days?
How are you spending self-quarantine time?
:::
There is this worldwide pressure that you NEED TO do something practical during this time, you need to get some new skills, learn something new, bake home-made bread and get ABS 🙄
No, you don’t 😉
:::
You CAN and it is GOOD IDEA but you don’t HAVE TO ⚠️
:::
What you should do is stay calm and relaxed 🙏
:::
We are all different and we react to current situation in a different way.
:::
If you never had time for your projects/dreams and now you do, if you feel calm & relaxed during this time and you feel productive and want to do something while being at home then definitely use thise time and get to work 💪
:::
BUT
If you’re feeling stressed, if you’re worrired about the future and can’t stay focused then let it go 😘 Postpone your plans and dreams for better times and now work on your mental health 🧘🏼♀️
Work on your inner peace instead 🙏
:::
Use this time to do whatever makes you calm and happy 🤗 If working on dreams and being productive makes you happy (like me 😅) then yes, this time is great opportunity to get something done and walk out of quarantine with new skills and/or projects.
:::
But if you’re not one of those people then ignore this pressure to DO SOMETHING, don’t read those posts that say „You never lacked time, you lacked discipline” 🙄 and read mine instead! 😉
:::
This is difficult time that we all need to get through and whatever each one of us does during this time it’s his/her business 😉
Just be happy! 🤗

5 things you need to lose in 2020:
5 things you need to lose in 2020:
⭐
1. Bad attitude – believe me, bad attitude will only make things worse for you. It is scientifically proven that negative thoughts and being pesimistic brings bad attitude, makes you doubt more and believe in good things less 😟. The more negative we are the more chances there are that actually something bad happens. It is not magic of bringing bad aura above us or anything, it’s just how our brain works when we think of bad things and how it automatically lowers its self-esteem, its willing to work and/or be creative 🤷🏼♀️.
⭐
2. Bad companions – lose people that don’t believe in you, cut yourself off from people who talk about you behind your backs, lose contact with people who bring you down 🙄. It may sound harsh but you don’t need friends like this, believe me. Instead, find people who are creative as you, who believe in you and support you, who are there for you whenever you need them. Those are the people you need in your life 🤗
⭐
3. Anger – you need to deal with stress in a smart way, there’s no need to lose temper. Whenever something bad happens just take 3 deep breaths, sit down and break a problem into pieces – what actually happened, what has that situation changed for you, how does it affect you and what you can do to change it. Being angry and frustrated won’t do much 😉
⭐
4. Complaining – stop complaining and start doing! If you don’t like something about your life then do whatever you can to change it! And if it’s something that you don’t have an impact on then just accept it 😎
⭐
5. Fear of failure – stop thinking „what if I fail…”, „what if it doesn’t work out…” and change it to „what if it DOES work out…”! If you fail, you fail 🤷🏼♀️, you’ll stand up, dust yourself off, learn from your mistake and move on 🛣. Everybody fails from time to time but it shouldn’t stop you and it definitely shouldn’t scare you. If you fail you’ll still be 1 step ahead from those who didn’t do anything! 😉
⭐
With those basic rules your life will get so much easier and you’ll be so much happier!
Believe me! 😊
2020 Plans
Planning. 📅
I hope that you are one of those people who plan or set some plans/resolutions for a new year because it is actually 1st step to change your list of „I want to have” into „I will have”! 😊
:::
Planning a whole new year isn’t easy so it’s best to divide it into categories (@drmattofficial set an example and we should all follow this man of success! 😊 )
:::
