I’ll be happy when…

I have started new (and probably biggest yet) challenge on my Instagram! 🤩 It’s about following dreams! I’m one of those people who always encourage you to dream big and follow those dreams! I’ll be always rooting for you to work hard on reaching your goal 💪.
:::
BUT!
Setting goals and dreaming big is amazing and I am all for it but you need to learn to be happy during the process of following dreams, to be happy on your path, not only at the finish line ☺️.
:::
You can’t get stuck on „I’ll be happy when…” syndrome.
➡️ „I’ll be happy when I finally manage to get a new job and quit current one.”
➡️ „I’ll be happy when I finally move to a bigger house.”
➡️ „I’ll be happy when I succeed and when my company gets 1000 clients.”
:::
Do you see what’s wrong with those sentences? You’re blocking your own happiness! 😔 Thinking that you’ll be happy when you succeed you subconsciously tell yourself to be unhappy now 😬. What if it takes several years for you to achieve your goal? And what if it doesn’t work out and you won’t reach that particular goal (sometimes it just doesn’t happen, sometimes you miss your opportunity, run out of time etc)? Will you never be happy then? 😔
:::
Appreciate all the steps inbetween! There’s so many more steps to be happy about rather than just the final one 🏁. E.g. if your goal is to get 1000 clients you still get a milestone when you get the 1st one! 🤩 That’s a huge thing to celebrate! Somebody liked and bought your product/service! And when you get to 100 clients – woah, that’s a lot of people, you should be happy! 🤗 If your goal is to lose 15kg you should be happy about every single kilogram lots, you should be happy about yourself taking care of yourself, you should be happy now! 😊
:::
Remember, when setting your goal and following your dreams, make sure you’re happy all the way through the process!

Feeling sorry for yourself

We all have bad days from time to time 🤷‍♀️. We all go through sad difficult times. We all cry 😥, we all feel insecure sometimes. That’s normal. But what is really important is to find that strenght to get up after we fall. To leave the dark, sad times and come back to life 💪.
:::
Has feeling sorry for yourself helped anyone? Has feeling insecure, sad helped anyone? 🤔 Has it made anything better, easier? 🙄 The answer is ‘no’. You know what is it really? It’s wasted time 🤷‍♀️.
:::
I don’t want to be harsh but that is the truth 🤷‍♀️. Time is the most precious thing in the world and we can’t waste it on sad, dark moments/days. I know there are situations (after break-up 💔, in grief 🖤 etc) when we need to have this time, when we need to lay in bed, to cry etc. It’s ok to feel sad, to feel angry, it’s ok to feel ashamed, it’s ok to feel guilty. We all need those feelings! But we all need to end with those feelings at some time too.
:::
So remember, it’s not worth spending time being sad or anxious 😔. Life is short. If you’ve cried your eyes out after some sad/traumatic experience try to get up and forget about it 💪. Or if that’s too hard seek help. Please 🙏.
:::
Feeling sad and feeling sorry for yourself just to feel sorry or to arouse interest is pointless and doesn’t help anyone 🙄. Believe me. Your clock is ticking⏰️. Please find that strenght and move forward.
:::
I wish that all of us always find that strenght.

Be positive!

Nowadays

Do you know the saying „The appetite grows with what it feeds on.”? 🤔 The more people have, the more they want and this saddens me 😔. When will those people be happy? 🤷‍♀️ They’re chasing all the time to have more and more and in the end they never have enough, they are never happy. Isn’t is easier and better to appreciate what we have? 🤷‍♀️
To be grateful and to be happy all the time and even HAPPIER when you get something new, something better? 🤔
:::
There are people in Africa or South America who don’t have much, who struggle to survive and yet they are so much happier than people who have so much more. Because they appreciate what they have 🙏, because they are happy about the simple things like having food or a roof over their head. We should learn from them!
:::
I know we shouldn’t compare ourselves but in this case do it. Compare what you have to those poor people who hardly have anything. Compare the conditions you live in with wifi, shower 🚿, Netflix and/or Playstation 🎮 to the conditions they live in with a bucket of warm water to clean themselves with, with one wooden toy for all 6-7 children and no idea what wifi is (not everybody there lives like that of course but there are plenty people/houses who do).
:::
Do you still think that you don’t have much? That you live in bad conditions? 😶 Compare your life in which you are able to go to a cinema, to travel, to see your favourite band live with the life of e.g. Cubans who can’t travel (they don’t have passports), who hardly get any access to international movies 🎬 or music 🎵, who use their day off to stand in line for several hours in front of a grocery shop to get any food yet they still go out to the streets and laugh, dance and love life. Do you still think your life is so bad?
:::
There’s one simple rule to have a happy life – look down on those who have less when building gratitude 🙏 and look up for those who have more to build motivation 💪 and to get inspired. And never do it the other way round 😉.
