Fall means pumpkins, and that means a lot of baked goods and other treats loaded up with it everywhere 😋. But you don’t have to stop there! You can make a Pumpkin Hair Mask! 🧖♀️🎃
Pumpkin has wonderful benefits for your hair and skin, not to mention the aromatherapy of smelling pumpkin pie while you relax during your homemade beauty treatment 😍.
Pumpkin is moisturizing. The vitamin A it contains is great for your scalp, and it encourages hair growth. Some people use cinnamon for dry brittle hair, to treat some forms of dandruff, and as a natural stimulant for hair growth 🤗. Finally, the coconut oil adds a conditioning layer to your hair, infusing it with softness and moisturizing your scal 🤩 Try this quick and simple hair mask this fall.
½ cup Pumpkin Puree 🎃
2 tsp. Coconut oil (unrefined)🥥
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 Vitamin E capsule
➡️ Mix pumpkin puree, cinnamon, vitamin E capsule, and coconut oil in a small bowl until thoroughly combined.
➡️ If your coconut oil is a solid, you may want to warm it in the microwave in 20 second increments until melted before mixing.
Calendula is known to help heal your skin, so it makes for the perfect beauty treatment! 💁🏼♀️
🔸️2 Tablespoons Greek Yogurt
🔸️1 Teaspoon calendula powder
➡️Mix the yogurt and calendula together until well combined
➡️ Apply the mixture to your clean face and neck area if desired
➡️ Let the mask ‘set’ for 15 minutes before washing off.
What you will Need:
🔸️3 1/2 Tablespoon organic Shea butter
🔸️2 Tablespoons Jojoba oil
🔸️3 Tablespoons of Aloe Leaf Juice
🔸️1 Teaspoon vitamin E oil
🔸️4 drops lavender essential oil of choice
🔸️A pint sized mason jar
🔸️A small glass jar to store your lotion
➡️Add the Shea butter and Jojoba oil to a pint sized mason jar
➡️Place a saucepan on the stove and add a cup of water to it-turn on the heat to medium high
➡️Place the mason jar in the saucepan and stir-slowly melting the Shea butter with the jojoba oil.
➡️Once the Shea butter and jojoba oil is completely melted add the aloe juice to the mason jar-(the aloe should be luke warm)
➡️With a hand held immersion blender or food processor -whip the product for at least 5 minutes
➡️Add in your essential oil and pour into a small jar
➡️Store you face lotion in a sealed glass far and use within 3 months
* This WILL NOT work if you swap out the jojoba oil for another type of oil. Jojoba is actually a wax and it is what helps emulsify the aloe water into the rest of the ingredients. Make sure you whip the product well so that the liquid completely blends into jojoba and shea butter.

Oil cleansing can be a total game changer for just about any skin type and condition 😉. Although it may seem counterintuitive to wash your face with oil, it’s actually brilliant. An oil cleanser dissolves excess oils on your skin, as well as makeup and sunblock—without any of the surfactants, harsh ingredients, or necessary preservatives in foaming cleansers. This means that your face gets a super-deep clean, without any “stripping,” or disruption of the skin’s natural microbiome 🤗
After switching to oil cleansing you’ll notice clearer, softer & brighter skin 🤩
If you’re wearing heavier makeup, start by removing that. This regular oil-cleansing routine is enough to remove light makeup, though 😊
Rinse face with warm water, then pat dry.
Dispense a nickel- to quarter-size amount of oil into palm, spread over both hands, and apply to full face and neck ☺
Massage! Take a full minute to work the oil into your skin. This is an opportunity to give your face some love, dissolve some of the tension of the day, and tend to the deeper layers of your skin by increasing circulation of blood and lymph, as you deep clean your pores 😍
Warm washcloth removal. This step is key to oil cleansing working for you. Wring out your washcloth, drape it over your full face, and press the warmth into the skin. Next, remove all of the oil with the washcloth. This may require multiple passes. Be thorough but not rough.
What kind of oil best to use?
The most common kitchen-cabinet recipe usually includes a mixture of castor oil and extra-virgin olive oil. A standard one-to-one ratio is a good starting point, but you can adjust as needed depending on your skin type 😊
🔸️Normal Skin: 1:1 ratio of castor oil to extra-virgin olive oil
🔸️Oily Skin: 3:1 ratio of castor oil to extra-virgin olive oil
🔸️Dry Skin: 1:3 ratio of castor oil to extra-virgin olive oil

Damaged hair. We’ve all been there 🤷🏼♀️. Blow dryers, products, and weather take a toll on our locks, so here’s a mask, which is perfect for repairing and moisturizing damaged hair 🤩
What you’ll need:
1 tbsp. Organic Coconut Oil 🥥
1 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey 🍯
Shower Cap (optional)
Step 1: Mix Ingredients Together
Mix the ingredients together and as an extra step to help your hair follicles open up, slightly heat the mixture up on a stovetop in a small sauce pan. Long or extra damaged hair? Just add a bit more of these ingredients.
Step 2: Apply to Hair
The mask can be applied to dry or wet hair, although we’ve found that it’s easier applied to wet hair. Have a towel around your neck to protect your clothes and section your hair off. Apply generously from top to bottom, focusing on the ends where most damage occurs.
Step 3: Relax for 30-40 Minutes While Mask Soaks In
Wrap your hair in a bun and let the mask soak in for 30-40 minutes. While you wait for the mask to do its magic, flip through a magazine, read a book, or paint your nails to pamper yourself some more.
Step 4: Rinse and Voila! 🤗
