SELF LOVE: DIY Charcoal Peel-Off Mask

Have you seen those peel-off charcoal masks online? 🧖‍♀️ They’re fun to watch, but you don’t need to buy one 😉 You can make your own DIY Charcoal Peel-Off Mask with just 4 ingredients.
:::
Servings: 1 use
Ingredients
🔸️1 capsule activated charcoal (about 1/4 to 1/3 tsp)
🔸️1/4 tsp bentonite clay
🔸️1 tsp non-flavored gelatin
🔸️2 drops tea tree essential oil
🔸️2 tsp boiling hot water
:::
Instructions
➡️ Remove make up and use a gentle cleanser to clean the face. Pat dry.
➡️ Open the activated charcoal capsule and add the contents to a small glass or ceramic bowl. Discard the empty capsule.
➡️ First, add bentonite clay and gelatin. Then add boiling water and mix well with a mini silicone spatula (avoid metal spoons as the metal may weaken the health properties of the bentonite clay). The gelatin will thicken up the mask. Add 1 drop tea tree oil and mix again.
➡️ Use a mask brush to apply a layer of the mask to the skin, avoiding eye brows and be careful not to get too close the eyes.
➡️ Apply mask rather quickly as the mask will continue to thicken up. If the mask in the bowl dries up sooner than you get to apply the mask, add a 1/2 to 1 tsp of boiling hot water again to make the mask liquid again to apply.
:::
Once you have a thick layer of the mask on the skin, allow to dry about 20-30 minutes. You may need to wait longer depending on the thickness of the mask. You will feel a slight tingling sensation from the bentonite clay and tea tree oil, both help to remove impurities from the skin 😶
:::
Once the mask is dry, start on an edge (chin or forehead) and slowly peel off the mask until it’s completely gone. You can use a warm washcloth to remove any remaining mask on the face.
:::
Apply a toner and then follow with a moisturizer to keep the skin nourished 😍

SELF-LOVE: Lavender sugar scrub

Depending on what essential oils you have on hand, it can be any scent. Eucalyptus, orange, rosemary 😍
:::
Ingredients:
🔸️ grapeseed oil 🍇
🔸️sugar 🍚
🔸️essential oil 👃
🔸️jar/container
🔸️fresh lavender for wrapping
🔸️twine
🔸️label
:::
Good ratio is 3:1, so depending on the size jar you are using you could use 1 cup sugar to 1/3 cup oil, 3 cups sugar to 1 cup oil.
:::
➡️ 1. Go ahead and mix your oil and sugar in a bowl together, and stir thoroughly.
➡️ 2.Once it becomes a slushy consistency, add your drops of essential oil. For a small container best to use 1 cup sugar, 1/3 cup oil, and about 8-10 drops of essential oil. You’ll know it’s the right amount when you mix it through and you can smell the fragrance nice and strong 😍
➡️ 3. Next take your fresh lavender and wrap twine around the bottom and then secure with a bow. You can label the top as well if you choose 🤗

SELF-LOVE: Homemade Face Lotion 🧖‍♀️

What you will Need:
🔸️3 1/2 Tablespoon organic Shea butter
🔸️2 Tablespoons Jojoba oil
🔸️3 Tablespoons of Aloe Leaf Juice
🔸️1 Teaspoon vitamin E oil
🔸️4 drops lavender essential oil of choice
🔸️A pint sized mason jar
🔸️A small glass jar to store your lotion
:::
Instructions:
➡️Add the Shea butter and Jojoba oil to a pint sized mason jar
➡️Place a saucepan on the stove and add a cup of water to it-turn on the heat to medium high
➡️Place the mason jar in the saucepan and stir-slowly melting the Shea butter with the jojoba oil.
➡️Once the Shea butter and jojoba oil is completely melted add the aloe juice to the mason jar-(the aloe should be luke warm)
➡️With a hand held immersion blender or food processor -whip the product for at least 5 minutes
➡️Add in your essential oil and pour into a small jar
➡️Store you face lotion in a sealed glass far and use within 3 months
:::
* This WILL NOT work if you swap out the jojoba oil for another type of oil. Jojoba is actually a wax and it is what helps emulsify the aloe water into the rest of the ingredients. Make sure you whip the product well so that the liquid completely blends into jojoba and shea butter.

Will you try it out? 😊
